The Medical Division
The Medical Division offers opportunities to gain experience in
a wide variety of practice environments inclusive of acute and
chronic medical conditions, sub acute care, rehabilitation,
ambulatory care, emergency, critical care and imaging services

Medical Specialties Division
The Medical specialties division provides tertiary level acute
services within Cardiovascular and Respiratory Medicine,
Comprehensive Cancer Care, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Renal
Medicine and Transplantation, Endocrinology, Dermatology and
Immunology; offering nurses the opportunity to develop skills in
areas from ambulatory care to high dependency and critical care
areas.
The division offers experience in the following areas and

Cardiovascular and Respiratory Medicine
- Coronary Care Unit
- Cardiology
- Heart Failure Service and Cardiac Rehabilitation Service
- Respiratory Medicine
- Respiratory Outpatient Clinic
- Cardiovascular Invasive laboratory
Comprehensive Cancer Care
- 50 multiday beds for Haematology, Medical and Radiation
Oncology patients.
- Oncology Clinic and Day Chemotherapy Unit.
- Haematology Clinic and Day Chemotherapy Unit.
- Consultative Palliative Care Service and multi-disciplinary
outpatient clinics.
- Full range of Radiation Oncology Services including high dose
brachytherapy.
Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Transplantation and Renal
Medicine
- Renal and Liver Transplantation
- Medical experience - Renal, Gastroenterology and
Hepatology
- Same day procedures in - Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and
Cystoscopy
- Same day and acute management of patients undergoing
Haemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (Pre
training support & management), Pre Dialysis education,
Vascular Access and Renal Anaemia Management)
Acute inpatient medical specialities

Surgical Division
Peri operative and Diagnostic Division offers experience
in:
- Theatre
- Post Acute Care Unit. Recovery
- Outpatients Department
- Radiology & Interventional Radiology
- Pre-admission & Day of Surgery Admission
- Short Stay Unit - Day Procedures, Admission and post operative
care. DO23 & DO47 - acute post operative unit for surgical
patients requiring one or two nights care
Neurosciences
The Neurosciences Division is made up of the Departments of
Neurosurgery, Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology,
Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Ophthalmology, Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery, Plastics and Neurology Treatment Centre
(PNTC), Orthopaedics, Pain Management Centre (PMC), the State Head
Injury Unit (SHI) and the Neurological Intervention and Imaging
Service of Western Australia (NIISWA).
