Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Redevelopment

The QEII Medical Centre will undergo major redevelopment over the next five years and beyond as part of the State Government’s commitment to the ongoing improvement of health services for all Western Australians. The QEII Medical Centre redevelopment site covers an area bounded by Winthrop Avenue, Monash Avenue, Aberdare Road and Hollywood Private Hospital in Nedlands.

The site includes the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital which is part of the North Metropolitan Area Health Service, in turn, part of the Western Australian Department of Health.

The $536m redevelopment of the QEII Medical Centre site offers an opportunity to develop a fully integrated healthcare, research and education precinct that incorporates sustainable design and delivery. It will also see Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital redeveloped further enhancing its role as a world-class tertiary hospital.

Enrolled Nurse Graduate Program

The intakes for the 2010 EN Graduate Program are Februray and August. This year the application process for all EN Graduate programs will be through Graduate Nurse Connect (GNC). GNC will open on the 22md June 2009. Applicants can apply at www.gnc.health.wa.gov.au

Registered Nurse Graduate Program

The highly sought after Graduate Nurse Program at Charlies will have three intakes in 2010 – Feb 15, Mar 15 and August 2. The program allows opportunities to complete 6 month rotations at Graylands, KEMH, Osborne Park or Silver Chain. Click Here for further information.
